Mohave Accelerated's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Glendale Prep Academy with a sharp 15-0 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 games by seven runs or more this season.
Kennedy Lamb made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two triples, and five RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Tanner Banks was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayli Marin, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Mohave Accelerated kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in 19 consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Wickenburg fell victim to Kingman Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Wranglers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Mohave Accelerated pushed their record up to 21-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Wickenburg, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-10.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Mohave Accelerated has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .615. However, it's not like Wickenburg struggles in that department as they've averaged .555. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
