The Colusa RedHawks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 27-21 victory over Live Oak. That's another feather in the cap for Colusa, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Adan Travis was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 49 yards and three touchdowns.
Live Oak's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Tanner Tillotson, who picked up 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Mario Ramirez was another key contributor, rushing for 124 yards and a touchdown.
Colusa's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0. As for Live Oak, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colusa will take on Winters at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Winters knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Colusa likes a good challenge. As for Live Oak, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Nicolaus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
