Baseball Game Preview: Beckville Bearcats vs. Harleton Wildcats

For the second straight game, Beckville will face off against Harleton. The Bearcats will challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Beckville is coming into the game hot, having won their last 13 games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Beckville challenged Harleton on Tuesday. The Bearcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats, sneaking past 6-4.

Aiden Brantley was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Brantley wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Harris, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another was Braxton Bullock, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Beckville's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Harleton, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.
