Pine Tree is 3-0 against Kilgore since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Pine Tree Pirates will head out to take on the Kilgore Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. Pine Tree is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Last Friday, Pine Tree made easy work of Center and carried off a 9-1 victory.

Meanwhile, Kilgore hadn't done well against Henderson recently (they were 1-7-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Kilgore won by a goal and slipped past Henderson 3-2. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Lions are ranked 582nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the fourth in a row for Kilgore, bringing their record for this year to 6-3-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those four games. As for Pine Tree, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Pine Tree took their win against Kilgore when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 7-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pine Tree since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
