The Lazbuddie Longhorns will head out on the road to challenge the Kress Kangaroos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 16 consecutive losses for Lazbuddie and four for Kress.
Lazbuddie suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 103-6 loss at the hands of Nazareth.
Meanwhile, Kress ended up a good deal behind Springlake-Earth on Tuesday and lost 65-49. Kress has struggled against Springlake-Earth recently, as their game on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Dillon Morphis put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Drew Morphis, who scored 11 points.
Lazbuddie dropped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.1 points per game. As for Kress, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Lazbuddie was taken down by Kress 65-31 when the teams last played on January 9th. Can Lazbuddie avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
