It's playoff time, and Elkhorn Valley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They enjoyed a cozy 54-38 win over the Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars on Thursday. The Falcons' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Werner to rack up 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists, while Broberg en route to 14 points along with eight boards and six steals. Thanks to that strong game, Werner now owns an excellent 42.5% three-point shooting accuracy. Cameron Rutjens was another key player, putting up seven points.
Elkhorn Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taylen Stark, who posted 12 points and three steals. Stark has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 18 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Delani Runnels, who put up ten points.
Elkhorn Valley's win was their 16th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points over those games. As for Niobrara/Verdigre, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.
