Harrisburg is on a ten-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Altoona a six-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Harrisburg Cougars will be home for the holidays to greet the Altoona Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Harrisburg ended up a good deal behind State College and lost 58-44. While losing is never fun, Harrisburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 568th, while State College is ranked 240th).
Meanwhile, Altoona might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Central Dauphin an easy 68-48 win.
Harrisburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Altoona, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
Harrisburg and Altoona were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Harrisburg came up empty-handed after a 59-58 defeat. Can Harrisburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
