The Grove Christian School Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the St. Michael the Archangel Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Grove Christian School struggled with assists on Friday (Richmond Christian had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Grove Christian School took a serious blow against Richmond Christian, falling 58-13. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Grove Christian School has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Grove Christian School saw an underclassman step up: Sidney Fisher almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Fisher hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for seven straight games.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, St. Michael the Archangel's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Christ Chapel Academy.
Grove Christian School now has a losing record at 7-8. As for St. Michael the Archangel, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.
Everything came up roses for Grove Christian School against St. Michael the Archangel in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 43-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grove Christian School since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
