In what's become a running theme this season, the Joppatowne Mariners gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 74-49 margin over Bel Air. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Joppatowne just coasted through the last quarter.
Joppatowne's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kishann Smith, who scored 18 points along with seven steals and six assists. Smith hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Phil Clark, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Joppatowne's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Bel Air, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Joppatowne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 92-42 victory vs. North Harford on the 9th. Bel Air will head out on the road to face off against North East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
