Piedmont Community Charter barely beat Bessemer City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  six innings while giving up  five earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in February. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs while going 5-for-6.

 In other batting news,  Chloe Rae Baker and  Evangeline East did most of the damage at the plate:  Baker  got on base  in all six of her plate appearances with four  runs, one  triple,  and one  double, while  East  went 2-for-5 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  triple. Those  four  RBI gave  East a new career-high.  Bailee Roper was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-5.
 Piedmont Community Charter was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .316 or higher in seven consecutive  contests.
Piedmont Community Charter has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Bessemer City, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
 Piedmont Community Charter has already played their next matchup,  a  3-2  win against Queen's Grant on the 1st. As for Bessemer City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  a  19-0  defeat against Burns on the 27th.
