The Christian Academy couldn't beat Gloucester County Christian  on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Christian Academy fell  9-6 to Gloucester County Christian.
 Avery Burghart was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 14 batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and four unearned) runs off   six  hits. Burghart was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. That  triple marked the first that  she has  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  Amanda Daniels was cooking despite her team's loss,   getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  stolen bases and one  RBI.  Maeve Gibbons was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with three  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Meanwhile,  after only one  run in their last  matchup, Faith Christian Academy made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Plumstead Christian  on Friday. The Lions blew past Plumstead Christian 11-2. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by nine  runs or more this season.
 The  loss was their first  at home , dropping their record down to 3-5. As for Faith Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
 The Christian Academy might still be hurting after the  15-0 defeat they got from Faith Christian Academy  when the teams last played  back in May of 2023. Can The Christian Academy avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
