Softball Recap: Snowflake Wins Going Away Against Chinle

Snowflake won the last time they faced Chinle and things went their way on Friday too. The Snowflake Lobos put the hurt on the Chinle Wildcats with a sharp 23-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lobos.

Kloe Burden made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only three hits, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Snowflake let Brynlee Bryant and Graycee Skousen run wild. Bryant went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and four RBI, while Skousen went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Abbie Baldwin was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

Snowflake's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Snowflake will face off against Tuba City at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chinle, they will venture away from home to face off against Grand County at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
