In what's become a running theme this season, the Del Oro Golden Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Rocklin a 4-0 shutout. The result kept Del Oro happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 10th.
They hit Rocklin with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Logan Webster (2),
Beckham Pointer, and
Rocco Kaufman.
Del Oro's win bumped their record up to 9-1-7. As for Rocklin, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8-2.
Del Oro will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Granite Bay at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Del Oro is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in California (they are ranked 36th, while Granite Bay is ranked 131st). As for Rocklin, they will head out on the road to square off against Whitney at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Whitney's last six matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
