The Kenwood Broncos extended their postseason success on Saturday against the Phillips Wildcats. They were the clear victor by a 31-6 margin over the Wildcats. Considering Kenwood has won six matchups by more than 19 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Mako Grant was on fire: he rushed for 233 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Grant really tore up the turf during one magnificent 82-yard run. Demaje Williams made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Kenwood pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.0 points per game. As for Phillips, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Kenwood will face off against Whitney Young at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Phillips does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
