The Legacy Christian Academy Knights won the last time they faced the Clinton-Massie Falcons, and things went their way on Monday too. Legacy Christian Academy took down Clinton-Massie 49-31. Given Legacy Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Clinton-Massie is ranked 514th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alayna Allport, who scored 17 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Allport scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Ali Solomon, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Legacy Christian Academy's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Clinton-Massie, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Legacy Christian Academy will play host again and welcome Dayton Christian, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clinton-Massie, they will head out on the road to face off against Goshen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Goshen knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Clinton-Massie likes a good challenge.
