The Wilburton Diggers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Talihina. Wilburton has not had much luck with the Golden Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Talihina's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ramses Hernandez led the charge by scoring 11 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Griffith, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Wilburton has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Talihina, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.
Wilburton will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Talihina, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Miners at 7:30 p.m.
