Northbridge extended the longest winning streak in Southern Worcester County - A this week by beating Nipmuc Regional, 44-6. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Northbridge moved up to 27 from 62 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Rams were able to make the jump by topping the Warriors 44-6.
Grafton Memorial's dynamic duo of Connor McVey and Dillon O'Brien proved tough for Southbridge to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. McVey threw for 13 yards and O'Brien had 13 yards receiving.
Jake Gelb was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 112 yards on 11 carries as Shepherd Hill Regional defeated the Pioneers. Teammate Brad Picard added to the ground attack by rushing for 71 yards.
Shepherd Hill Regional's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Drew Ravenelle has thrown for 108 yards this season, while Picard has two catches for 60 yards. Picard leads the league in rushing with 479 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Rams take on Northbridge. At the moment, Shepherd Hill Regional is in third, while the Rams are in first.
Northbridge took down Nipmuc Regional 44-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
