Softball Recap: Northwestern Wins Going Away Against Southeast

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Northwestern walked away with it. They blew past the Southeast Pirates 12-4 on Monday. Considering the Huskies have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Northwestern and bumps their season record up to 13-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for Southeast, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season.

Northwestern wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-4 win against Ravenna on the 19th. Southeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
