The Goliad Tigers will be playing at home against the George West Longhorns at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Goliad posted their biggest victory since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Taft 48-21 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Goliad.
Meanwhile, George West had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They really took it to Odem for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-21 victory on the road. With George West ahead 35-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Goliad has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-15 record this season. As for George West, their win bumped their record up to 18-10.
Goliad came out on top in a nail-biter against George West in their previous meeting on January 5th, sneaking past 41-39. Will Goliad repeat their success, or does George West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
