3A Conference 8 recap September 4, 2013
Sun Valley was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Hoke County. The Spartans came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.
Cuthbertson moved up to 100 from 146 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A Conference 8. The Cavaliers were able to make move up by defeating Hickory Ridge 32-22.
Cuthbertson's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Steven Fusco threw for 155 yards and Ryan Kendall had 91 yards receiving. On the ground Alex Levister contributed 105 yards. Matt Allen helped Cuthbertson's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 21 yards.
