There's no place like home for The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Spencer 30-27. This was payback for Academy for Classical Education, who suffered a 16-6 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Academy for Classical Education to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaleb Scarbary, who threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns. Scarbary hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. Brice Whitley was another key contributor, picking up 147 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Academy for Classical Education's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-2. As for Spencer, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
