Schenectady scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Troy with points to spare, taking the game 86-70. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Shaker has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 25 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 77-52 margin over Ballston Spa. Given Shaker's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Ballston Spa is ranked 378th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Schenectady's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Shaker, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
Schenectady didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Shaker when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 65-61 victory.
