The Fort Hancock Mustangs stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on Chaparral with a sharp 53-28 win. Winning may never get old, but Fort Hancock sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
It was another big night for Alessandra Jimenez, who shot 4-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double on 31 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marisol Diaz, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

As for Chaparral, they bumped their record down to 5-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Hancock will face off against Anthony at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chaparral won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Goddard at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Goddard is ranked 108th, while Chaparral is ranked 113th).
