Flat Rock relied on the efforts of Mckenna Williams, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists, and Lily Klein, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. Madleen Hussein was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Grosse Ile scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-36 victory over Jefferson. Given Grosse Ile's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Jefferson is ranked 536th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Flat Rock has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Grosse Ile, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-7.
