Baseball Recap: Lakewood Ranch Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs didn't have quite enough to beat the Cardinal Mooney Cougars and fell 4-3.

Lakewood Ranch saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Sprague, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another was Kuwain Claxton, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Lakewood Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cardinal Mooney, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

While Lakewood Ranch had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
