The Marquand-Zion Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 68-60 victory over Eagle Ridge Christian. The win was a breath of fresh air for Marquand-Zion as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Eagle Ridge Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Noah Simpson, who scored 27 points. Simpson hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Margrabe, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Marquand-Zion's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Eagle Ridge Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marquand-Zion will challenge Oak Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Ridge is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Eagle Ridge Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Victory Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
