Steubenville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Claymont, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Big Red were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Mustangs on Thursday. Considering the Big Red have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Steubenville and bumps their season record up to 6-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Claymont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Steubenville will venture away from home to challenge Dover at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Claymont, they will head out to square off against Tuscarawas Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
