It was a good run, but Wells unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were beaten by the Boquet Valley Griffins 54-23. The Wells CSD were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-8.

Leading Boquet Valley to victory were Sophie Pulsifer and Claire Reynolds. Pulsifer dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Reynolds went 12 of 19 on her way to 27 points and seven steals. Those 27 points gave Reynolds a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Hickey, who posted two points in addition to 12 rebounds and four steals.

Wells' loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Boquet Valley, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-2.

Wells will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fort Ann at 5:00 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Boquet Valley, they will host Seton Catholic Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
