The South Mecklenburg Sabres will head out to square off against the Myers Park Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Mecklenburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Last Thursday, South Mecklenburg got the win against Ballantyne Ridge by a conclusive 9-1. Considering the Sabres have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Madison Norris was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Tia Montgomery was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Bo Schweizer also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.
South Mecklenburg hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Myers Park entered their tilt with Butler on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-3.
Anna Eason spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Regan Godman, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ryann Rempson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
South Mecklenburg's record now sits at 7-5. As for Myers Park, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
South Mecklenburg skirted past Myers Park 5-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Does South Mecklenburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Myers Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
