Shon Powell ran for two touchdowns and
Brian Walker added three as well as
Brother Rice (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) defeated
Port Huron (Mich.) 47-26 on Saturday.
The Warriors were up 24-12 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Powell in the first quarter.
Brother Rice expanded its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. BR scored three times in the third, including once on a Powell touchdown run.
The Big Reds came in surrendering 15.2 points per game this season. Port Huron struggled against the Bloomfield Hills school, which came in averaging 26.6 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Port Huron, which notched a 27-9 victory over Chippewa Valley in its previous outing. With the win the Warriors extended their winning streak to four games. The loss snapped PH's 3-game winning streak.
