Volleyball Recap: Meade River Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nuiqsut Trapper, Meade River was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Alak Huskies. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-0 victory back in October.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Meade River took both sets by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-9.

Meade River has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Alak, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coincidentally, Meade River and Alak will both be playing Kali the next time they take the court. The Huskies will host the Wolverines on Friday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
