Baseball Recap: Creekview's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Creekview unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wakeland Wolverines by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Mustangs have suffered since March 2, 2024.

Jake Moreno spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Creekview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Landberg, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Creekview's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Wakeland, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

While Creekview had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
