Currituck County is 8-2 against Camden County since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Currituck County Knights will square off against the Camden County Bruins at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Currituck County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Hertford County get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Knights needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Nash Mikkelsen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mikkelsen was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season.

In other pitching news, Riley Anderson looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.
Back at the plate, Dom Espinoza was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Dom Doran, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Camden County made easy work of Pasquotank County on Friday and carried off a 9-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.
Like Currituck County, Camden County also got a great game from a two-way player: Cole Roberts. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. What's more, Roberts gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, Camden County let Trot Pipkin and Brandon Davenport run wild. Pipkin scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3, while Davenport scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Adam Gregory was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-4.
Currituck County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Camden County, their record now sits at 4-2.
