St. Helena College and Career Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Sumner Cowboys on Friday, falling 41-18. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Coincidentally, St. Helena College and Career Academy and Sumner will both be playing Kentwood the next time they take the field. The Cowboys will host the Kangaroos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Hawks will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
