The Arcanum Trojans and the Bradford Railroaders will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
After a string of four wins, Arcanum's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were dealt a 61-34 defeat at the hands of New Bremen. Arcanum was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-9.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Regan Christ, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Mccans, who scored nine points.
Bradford suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. Their rough 65-43 loss to Troy Christian might stick with them for a while. While losing is never fun, Bradford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 477th, while Troy Christian is ranked 105th).
Arcanum's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Bradford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.
Arcanum couldn't quite finish off Bradford in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 and fell 50-47. Can Arcanum avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
