The Lehighton Indians lost against the Pottsville Crimson Tide back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Lehighton was the victim of a tough 68-47 defeat at the hands of Pottsville. Lehighton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-18.
Pottsville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Letrel Montone, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Alvarez, who scored 13 points.
Lehighton's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Pottsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Lehighton will be home for the holidays to greet Northwestern Lehigh at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pottsville, they will head out on the road to face off against Williamsport at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Williamsport is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
