Ethan McCarthy and Bryson Bush were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, McCarthy struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Howe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 17-1 to Gunter.
Howe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Lowder, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Leonard now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Howe, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.
