2A-1 Region III District 11 recap November 5, 2013
Franklin extended the longest winning streak in 2A-1 Region III District 11 this week by beating Trinity, 43-14. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Westwood lost to Elkhart 55-21 last week, the largest margin of any game. Derrick Hicks was a bright spot for the Panthers, as he ran for 101 yards in the loss.
Austin Skinner threw for 261 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 17-29 with 1 interception.
Jeffrey Wilson was a passing and rushing force as the Elks topped Westwood.

John Love was the best wideout in the league this week as Teague bested Crockett. Love racked up 3 receptions for 151 yards. Aaron Mitchell helped Teague's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 60 yards.
The Lions' Skinner and Mitchell have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Skinner has thrown for 2,143 yards this season, while Mitchell has 56 catches for 1,009 yards. Wilson from Sam Wells' team leads the league in rushing with 2,109 yards.
