The Arapahoe Warriors had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They breezed by Hemingford at home to the tune of 52-22. The result was nothing new for Arapahoe, who have now won seven contests by 24 points or more so far this season.
Arapahoe's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was William Cacy, who rushed for 107 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Cacy was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards. Another player making a difference was Trenton Roskop, who threw for 119 yards and three touchdowns on only eight passes.
Despite the loss, Hemingford still got an impressive performance from Cody Galles, who rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Arapahoe's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Hemingford, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Arapahoe will play host again and welcome Ravenna, where Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Ravenna knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Arapahoe likes a good challenge. Hemingford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
