Basketball Recap: Key West Skates Past Marathon with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Key West). They blew past the Marathon Dolphins 68-24 on Monday. With the Conchs ahead 47-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

It was another big night for James Osborne, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. He has become a key player for Key West: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least eight boards, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Roberts, who posted ten points along with five boards and four steals.

The victory was the third in a row for Key West, bringing their record for this year to 4-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Marathon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Key West will welcome Miami Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marathon, they will venture away from home to square off against Marco Island Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
