Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Birmingham Patriots, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 35-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dons on Saturday. Birmingham's defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
Leading Acalanes to victory were Sully Bailey and Trevor Rogers. Bailey threw for 296 yards and four touchdowns, while Rogers picked up 146 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Rogers was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 60 yards.
Birmingham's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Acalanes, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
Birmingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Acalanes also has no future games currently scheduled.
