Sadly, the North Central Knights are still looking for their first win of the season after 16 contests. They were beaten by Chesterfield 43-11 on Tuesday. North Central has struggled against Chesterfield recently, as their match on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Kierra Diggs was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds for Chesterfield. Diggs has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Trinity Turnage, who scored six points along with four steals.
North Central's loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.3 points per game. As for Chesterfield, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.
