Glenbard East hasn't had much luck against Conant recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Rams will welcome the Cougars at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Glenbard East 2.6, Conant 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Glenbard East hadn't beaten Larkin on the road since May 17, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Rams walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Royals. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Claire Bolda spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lilly Carver, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Melissa Saldana, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Conant duked it out with Saint Viator on Friday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won seven matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Cailyn Kehoe was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Sophia Gomez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Conant has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Glenbard East, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5.
Conant's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Glenbard East has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .470. It's a different story for Conant, though, as they've only averaged .363. Will they be able to contain Glenbard East's hitters?
Glenbard East might still be hurting after the 21-8 defeat they got from Conant in their previous matchup back in April of 2021. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
