Sound Christian is 3-0 against Tulalip Heritage since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Sound Christian Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tulalip Heritage Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Sound Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Thursday.
Sound Christian fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Muckleshoot Tribal but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 61-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kings. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sound Christian in their matchups with Muckleshoot Tribal: they've now lost three in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was AJ Alexeev, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 17 times he's played. Kona Resseau was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Meanwhile, Tulalip Heritage can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Concordia Christian Academy 75-38 at home. Tulalip Heritage's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Sound Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6. As for Tulalip Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Sound Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Tulalip Heritage in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, winning 67-59. Will Sound Christian repeat their success, or does Tulalip Heritage have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
