It was a good run, but the Quince Orchard Cougars unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 63-29 loss at the hands of Whitman. While losing is never fun, Quince Orchard can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Whitman is ranked 28th).
Kelly Adams was Quince Orchard's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Kasey Rappaport held things down on the boards with six rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Quince Orchard's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Whitman, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
Quince Orchard will take on Bethesda-Chevy Chase at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bethesda-Chevy Chase focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday. As for Whitman, they will head out on the road to square off against Gaithersburg at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Gaithersburg is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
