Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loachapoka). They walked away with a 74-62 victory over the Comer Tigers on Friday.

Jordan Tyner had a dynamite game for Loachapoka, almost dropping a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. That's the most rebounds Tyner has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Zay Shaw, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds.

Loachapoka was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Loachapoka's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5. As for Comer, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loachapoka will face off against Beulah at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Beulah will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Loachapoka surely won't give up without a fight. As for Comer, they will square off against Vincent at 4:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
