On Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Lorain beat South 58-53. The win was all the more spectacular given Lorain's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while South is ranked 128th).
Lorain's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kayla Mosley, who scored 13 points along with 8 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jelynn Carrington, who scored 19 points along with 5 steals.
The victory got Lorain back to even at 2-2. As for South, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Lorain will head out on the road to face off against Garfield Heights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for South, they will be playing at home against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Villa Angela-St. Joseph focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday.
