Intermountain Christian and the Eagles are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Intermountain Christian Lions will head out on the road to square off against the American Prep WV Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Intermountain Christian has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while the Eagles will arrive with ten straight wins.
While Intermountain Christian couldn't quite beat the Eagles on Tuesday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 31-point defeat they were dealt on Monday. Intermountain Christian fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 48-45.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Noah Hillaker, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was David Reist, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, American Prep WV can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against Rockwell as American Prep WV made off with a 75-55 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Intermountain Christian's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for American Prep WV, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Intermountain Christian was dealt a bruising 75-36 defeat at the hands of the Eagles in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Intermountain Christian, Adis Halaba (who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
