After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Madison Southern, Danville was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Fox Spears made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, DyiRon Moody was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. KJ Dismeaux was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
