The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ali Wilcox, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ilyauna Evans, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Charleston Catholic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive matches.

Charleston Catholic better keep an eye on Anna Tolley. She was instrumental in Roane County's win, going 6-for-9 on her way to 23 points and five steals. Tolley has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Roane County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points over those games. Charleston Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Charleston Catholic has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33 boards per game. However, it's not like Roane County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Charleston Catholic strolled past Roane County in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 42-25. Does Charleston Catholic have another victory up their sleeve, or will Roane County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
